Gwinnett County is the largest county in the state to earn this certification, as well as the first in Metro Atlanta’s five core counties. Communities that earn this designation must demonstrate a commitment to improving public high school graduation rates through a measurable increase and show that a significant percentage of the available and current workforce have earned Work Ready Certificates.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.5pt; mso-line-height-rule: exactly; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“Gwinnett is proud to be named a Certified Work Ready Community,” said Gwinnett County Commission Chair, Charlotte Nash. “Our community has the skilled workforce that growing businesses demand, and the educational infrastructure to drive economic growth and prosperity. The designation indicates that our focus on these areas should translate to more jobs for residents in our county.” <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.5pt; mso-line-height-rule: exactly; text-align: justify;"><br />

The backbone of the initiative is the Work Ready Certificate, which assesses the real world skills of Georgia's workers. Georgians can use their Work Ready Certificate to prove their work readiness to potential employers. Georgia also offers gap training aimed at helping to improve Certificate scores, enabling career growth and continued on-the-job success. This, combined with an innovative job profiling process that accurately identifies the exact skills required for specific jobs is helping create the perfect match between Georgia workers and jobs.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 13.5pt; mso-line-height-rule: exactly; text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />

"This certification is a tremendous boost to economic development and supports future job growth. To employers and to companies who are considering locating in Gwinnett, Work Ready certification assures them that we have the skilled workforce they need. <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="background: white;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“The past five years has brought a great deal of successes to Gwinnett in spite of the new economic climate,” said Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash. “Partnership Gwinnett’s public and private efforts play a fundamental role in making such successes possible. Today, our community celebrates the powerful impact that the initiative has had on the county. We look ahead to the next five years with a collaborative strategic plan to ensure our continued success.”<o:p></o:p></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">With implementation of Partnership Gwinnett nearing the end of its five-year cycle, Gwinnett County stakeholders have once again come together to assess the community’s competitive position for jobs, investment, and talent. Much is different from the first time the County launched economic development strategic planning and implementation. Nearly five years of implementation success has raised expectations for the next phase of the Partnership Gwinnett plan; and, perhaps most importantly, the second iteration of Gwinnett’s strategic plan launches in one of the most challenging economic climates in recent U.S. history.</span></div><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The Partnership Gwinnett initiative has been led by the Gwinnett Chamber and over 160 public and private partners for the last five years. Continued collaboration at this level is critical to ensure that the community employs its educated workforce and maintains the superior quality of life for which it is so well known.<o:p></o:p></span></span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Partnership Gwinnett Co-Chair, Randy Dellinger, District Manager at Jackson EMC, said, “Despite the economic downturn and nationwide unemployment crisis, Gwinnett County has had the lowest jobless rate in the core Metro Atlanta counties for the past 28 months. This is not by accident- it is through the partnership of dedicated individuals from the public and private sectors working in sync to generate results. This new economic development strategy for Gwinnett will confidently lead our community into the next five years to create more jobs and wealth in our county.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Gwinnett County has experienced a net job gain in the Partnership Gwinnett initial target industries: Healthcare, Distribution and Trade, Corporate and Regional Headquarters, Professional Services, Information Technology, and Advanced Communications. From 2009 to 2010, Gwinnett County added 1,925 jobs in these industries.<span class="apple-converted-space"><i><o:p></o:p></i></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“The transformation of Gwinnett County’s community and economic development program is exemplary. </span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The 2012-2017 Implementation Plan supports a holistic vision for the prosperity of all Gwinnettians through the provision of good jobs, adequate housing, social opportunities, and a community that makes its residents proud. Through comprehensive economic development, cultivating world-class talent, and fostering community and leadership development, the plan seeks to bring economic growth to the next level amidst the community’s changing demographics. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This increasing diversity provides opportunistic growth areas for Gwinnett, one of which is minority-owned and diverse businesses. Gwinnett County ranks among the top three percent of all U.S. counties in terms of minority business ownership, with more than 40 percent of county businesses being minority owned. And while most counties with high rates are heavily influenced by one or two large minority groups, Gwinnett stands out as being one of the few counties with three significant minority business communities. Gwinnett is one of just eight counties in the nation where Black, Asian, and Hispanic ownership rates each exceed nine percent. It is the only county outside of the New York, Washington, D.C., and Houston areas that meets such criteria.<span style="background: white; color: red;"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Grammy-Award winning musicians such as Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, John Mayer, Ed Roland of Collective Soul and The Indigo Girls honed their early talent at the Attic, building solid relationships with Owen that he carries with him to Gwinnett. Owen’s move to Duluth’s Red Clay Theatre provides a significant redevelopment opportunity for the facility. The city is currently which is completing a series of renovations to accommodate its new use, an investment of $20,000. The City of Duluth acquired the property in 2004 for $1.8 Million and made $800,000 in extensive renovations in 2006.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Duluth has recently enjoyed a series of business additions to their historic downtown space, including popular Atlanta restaurant Pure Taqueria, and has received local recognition as Development of Excellence Award Winner by the Atlanta Regional Commission for the downtown’s bold innovation & exceptional community design. </div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“The City of Duluth and Eddie Owen share the same vision for Duluth. His concerts will widen the variety of artistic offerings that add to the quality of life in Gwinnett.”<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Owen launched Eddie’s Attic, one of the southeast’s premier venues for Southern folk music, 20 years ago in Atlanta; this new venture builds on the legacy that Owen has created in the region. His vision for Duluth includes educational components for the future, bringing artists together with aspiring musicians to teach them about the industry: from music management, budgeting, booking, and technical instrument skills- creating a school wherein students of all ages have an opportunity to learn firsthand from professionals. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“This type of venture is only possible through a solid public and private partnership,” said Chris McGahee, economic development Manager for the City of Duluth. “it proves that the collaboration and core-value investment that our stakeholders have in this opportunity is tangible. The numbers revealed that Gwinnett County is leading Georgia in employment growth, with a significant wage increase in 2010. Additionally, the report identified that Gwinnett’s employment growth was almost double the national average (0.9%) between December of 2009 and December 2010. The robust wage growth year-over-year was identified at 3.7%, the second-highest among large counties in the state and 0.7 percentage points above the national average. Large counties are defined by the BLS as those with employment of 75,000 or more as measured by 2009 annual average employment.<o:p></o:p></span><br />

"Now, our community and our region will benefit from the healthcare and life sciences professionals who will train here." <span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Gwinnett Tech's three-story, 78,000-square-foot Life Sciences Center is dedicated to educating and training those life sciences and healthcare professionals. Over the next four years, to serve residents, the region will need to add 27,000 healthcare jobs. The Center, which opened for fall semester classes in August, will serve 3,000 students annually, enabling GTC to accept additional students and expand program offerings. The new Life Sciences Center is a LEED-construction building and anticipates LEED Silver certification. [More on building technology and LEED features.] </span><br />

</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">(GWINNETT- METRO ATLANTA) September 12, 2011- Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development celebrated on Friday, September 9, its partnership with Treetop Quest and their expansion to the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center<span style="color: #1f497d;">, </span>in a ribbon cutting announcing the community’s first Canopy Adventure Attraction. As one of the most unique, family-friendly adventure courses in Georgia, Treetop Quest is touted as a new genre of educational, adventurous, and environmentally responsible recreation. </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center Foundation is very excited about the additional programming opportunities this exhibit brings to the community with its ability to explore nature’s magnificent tree canopy,” said Hank Houser, chairman of the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center Foundation. “This exhibit, funded by Treetop Quest, is a major benefit to the community in that it will create a regional eco-tourism destination, generating economic opportunities and job growth.”</span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Treetop Quest integrates educational quizzes, instructional tour guides, and environmental stewardship into its unique experience. Categorized by the genre’s newly coined term, “edutainment”, Treetop Quest’s integral differentiator is their strict environmentally sustainable construction codes. Parent company Altiplano, specializing in outdoor recreational parks, brought in an expert design and construction crew from France to construct the series of platforms, zip lines, monkey bridges, and Tarzan swings. Constructed from untreated wood, the courses are built without drilling or puncturing the tree trunks. At heights up to 55 feet above the ground, and zip lines stretching more than 200 feet, Treetop Quest boasts ample adrenaline spikes for the thrill seekers, with specialized preliminary training, ultra security harnesses, and experienced guides to reassure the most apprehensive. </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Sharing goals of environmental preservation and stewardship, their partnership with the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center allows excellent exposure for the new exhibit, as well as economic stimulus to the area. </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“Treetop Quest’s decision to build and fund a U.S. based adventure/educational exhibit in Gwinnett is due in large part to the demand of its citizens for continued quality of life activities in the community,” said Antoine Buliard, U.S. development manager for Treetop Quest. “Our decision to partner with the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center Foundation on this project is a demonstration of the company’s goal to respect the environment in which the exhibit is built and use the natural surroundings as part of the overall educational experience to be gained through use of the exhibit.”</span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“We are thrilled to welcome Treetop Quest to our community today,” said Gwinnett County District 1 Commissioner Shirley Lasseter. “We look forward to how this unique attraction will bolster tourism in Gwinnett and draw our neighbors from throughout Metro Atlanta to experience firsthand our dedication to sustainability and excellent quality of life.”</span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“Partnership Gwinnett has a strong focus on enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Gwinnett,” said Nick Masino, Vice President of Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett at the Gwinnett Chamber. “This exhibit is an investment directly into the community, which is line with our overall effort to further develop a resource and amenity-rich county. Presented by T-Mobile, the event showcased success in job growth, business development, education and community revitalization. Themed around the State of Georgia’s Camera Ready initiative; several community, regional and national industry experts gathered at the event to present on a variety of topics impacting local economic development efforts. <span class="apple-converted-space"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"> </span></span></span><span class="apple-converted-space"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><o:p></o:p></span></span><br />

</span></span></span><br />
<span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">In conjunction with the annual summit, two supporting materials also made their debut at the event today: the Partnership Gwinnett initiatives’ Annual Report and the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Gwinnett Market Report. Both focus on job growth, education, quality of life and entrepreneurship- and Gwinnett’s impact in the Metro area and region at large. The 2011 PG Summit showcased Keynote speaker<b> </b><b>Mark Vitner, Managing Director and Senior Economist at Wells Fargo. </b>A native of Atlanta, Mark Vitner is responsible for tracking U.S. and regional economic trends, and writes for the company’s Monthly Economic Outlook report, the Weekly Economic & Financial Commentary; providing regular updates on the housing markets, commercial real estate, regional economies, and inflation. Mr. Vitner’s commentary is regularly featured on CNBC and MSNBC, and has also been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and many other national publications. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">When asked about the future of Gwinnett’s economic development, Mark Vitner said, “While growth will likely remain slow from a historical perspective, we expect the expansion to continue. Gwinnett County is actually recovering at a slightly faster pace than the overall Atlanta metro area. Businesses are increasingly choosing locations along the I-85 corridor, which offers a great deal of value relative to other submarkets and close proximity to high end neighborhoods and shopping.” <o:p></o:p></span><br />
<span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><br />

<span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Education, primary school through post-graduate studies, is the cornerstone of Gwinnett’s impressive achievements as a community. “Partnership Gwinnett is building a thriving, global economy in Gwinnett County, thereby supporting educational excellence for every Gwinnett County Public Schools student,” said <b>J. Alvin Wilbanks, CEO & Superintendent of Gwinnett County Public Schools, </b>who addressed the summit attendees. “Partnership Gwinnett ensures that the county takes advantage of the opportunities that arise, or creates new ones, to enhance the quality both of the life we enjoy and the education we provide.”<o:p></o:p></span><br />

This is not by accident- it is through the partnership of dedicated individuals from the public and private sectors working in sync to generate results."<o:p></o:p></span><br />

<br />
Gwinnett County leadership was also in attendance to show their support of economic development in the community. <b>Gwinnett County District 2 Commissioner Lynette Howard</b> said, “This annual summit provides a comprehensive review of the successes of the Gwinnett’s premiere economic development initiative- it is an opportunity for the community as a whole to see and understand the powerful impact that its successful implementation has had on the county: and a primary reason that we can continue to say with confidence that success lives here.”<o:p></o:p></span></div><div style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt;"><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Together presenting a panel on Building an Award Winning Cast & Getting a “Quick Start” to a Qualified Workforce, <b>Mike Grundmann, Director of Georgia Quick Start</b>, <b>Ann Sechrist, Director of Economic Development at Gwinnett Technical College </b>and <b>Bo Morris, Director of Operations at Yes Video</b>, discussed the importance of a well-developed and fast-paced training program for companies that have newly relocated or expanded their operations to Gwinnett County and Metro Atlanta. <br />
<br />
“The Partnership Gwinnett initiative is a true success only because of the 160 public and private partners that dedicate their financial resources, time and energy to ensuring its development and in turn the continued growth of the economy, both in our community and in the region,” said <b>Nick Masino, Vice-President of Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett at the Gwinnett Chamber</b>. “Their support and collaborative dedication has brought more than 280 companies and 12,000 jobs to Gwinnett since the inception of the initiative in 2007- a number that grows every day and will continue to flourish with their support.”<br />

</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">(GWINNETT- METRO ATLANTA) August 4, 2011 –RockTenn, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development, announced the consolidation of its Chicago and Metro St. Louis operations to Gwinnett County, Metro Atlanta. The company’s increased presence in Gwinnett will bring 500 new jobs to the community and represents five million dollars in capital investment for Gwinnett.</span></div></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“We are grateful for the Governor’s leadership, the Mayor’s leadership and the hard work of their economic development teams to enable us to locate all these new jobs here in Georgia,” said Jim Rubright, Chairman and CEO of RockTenn. “Our continued growth in Georgia enables us to consolidate many of our corporate functions and focus on our primary objectives of providing superior paperboard and packaging solutions to our customers at very low costs, exceeding our customers’ expectations and creating long-term shareholder value. This expansion will help us continue to provide our employees with a great place to work.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“RockTenn expanding its corporate headquarters here is big news - not only because 500 new jobs will be created, but also because this top Fortune 500 company has chosen Georgia as the best place to keep doing business for years to come,” said Governor Nathan Deal. “RockTenn currently employs more than 1,100 Georgians and helping to secure the future of those existing jobs with this investment is just as important as adding the new ones.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“RockTenn’s choice to further expand its locally headquartered operations and continue to invest in Gwinnett County serves to solidify our community’s motto - success lives here,” said Gwinnett County Chairman Charlotte Nash.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">RockTenn will lease approximately 68,000 square feet of space at their Duluth facility. Located at 3950 Shackleford Road, a Duke Realty Property, the building will house some of the new positions being created and some personnel will transfer from RockTenn’s Norcross corporate campus. All of the positions are professional service positions. Although not a Fortune 500 company this year, RockTenn’s acquisition will position them for the coveted corporate listing in 2012. This will make Gwinnett’s fourth Fortune 500 company to either expand or relocate in the last three years, behind AGCO, NCR and the relocation of Asbury Automotive’s headquarters from Manhattan in 2008.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“The announcement that RockTenn is continuing to keep its corporate headquarters in Norcross is the biggest news in the 140 year history of our city,” said Bucky Johnson, Mayor, City of Norcross. “On behalf of all of our citizens, I want to thank their Chief Executive Officer, Jim Rubright, for the decision to stay in Norcross. RockTenn is a great community partner and we celebrate this news.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">“RockTenn is a strong model of business growth and development in Gwinnett,” said Jim Maran, President & CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber. “The high-wage jobs it is bringing, coupled with the move’s contribution to a more balanced tax-base, represent a solid picture of increasing economic stability for Gwinnett and Georgia. We congratulate RockTenn and all of our economic development partners on this great achievement.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">RockTenn’s expansion in Gwinnett follows a series of job growth successes in Georgia’s leading community for job growth – according to preliminary reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Most of this growth can be attributed to the community’s award-winning economic development initiative, Partnership Gwinnett. Led by the Chamber and over 160 public and private investors, this initiative has attracted more than 12,000 new jobs in Gwinnett over the last five years. RockTenn’s announcement moves that number to just over 12,500.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Nick Masino, Vice President of Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett said, “RockTenn’s decision to consolidate and expand its existing Gwinnett location speaks volumes about our community’s pro-business environment and strong economic climate. We congratulate them on this growth and thank all of our investors and partners who support Partnership Gwinnett every day to make projects like this one possible.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Charlie Gatlin, Director of Economic and Community Development for Electric Cities of Georgia said, “RockTenn’s commitment to the City of Norcross and Gwinnett County reflects favorably on the local talented workforce in the shared services industry. Deal announces new Hyundai headquarters in Gwinnett<div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">June 21, 2011 - </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. (HCE) will locate its headquarters and warehouse facility in Norcross in Gwinnett County. This project will create approximately 100 jobs over five years and represents a $10 million investment.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“Hyundai Construction Equipment has a global reputation as a leader in providing its customers with innovative, high-quality equipment that serves all facets of the construction industry,” Deal said. “Georgia’s strategic resources create opportunities to attract well-known international companies like HCE and help broaden our presence in the global business community. It is my privilege to welcome HCE to our state, and I look forward to the company’s continued growth.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">HCE operates under its parent company, South Korea-based Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The company was formed in 1991 to focus on the needs of Hyundai’s construction equipment market. HCE offers more than 18 different models of excavators, four models of forestry machines and six wheel loaders.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“I want to thank Gov. Deal and all those involved in the process that made our decision to move to Georgia an easy one,” said John Lim, president of Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. “Given that this is the headquarters of the Americas, we needed a location that was strategically located not only for access to markets in the Southeastern United States but South and Central America as well. Georgia, Gwinnett County and the City of Norcross will be ideal as we grow our business for the future.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">HCE’s Gwinnett County operations will house the company’s headquarters and warehouse, and have office space for the company’s finance, sales, remanufacturing and service operations. As a key business hub in Georgia, Norcross was selected as the site of HCE’s headquarters and warehouse facility due in large part to the community’s access to major highways and other logistics benefits, proximity to the company’s customers’ distribution operations and an extensive pipeline of talent for this industry.</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“Our partners at the Georgia Department of Economic Development continue to work tirelessly to cultivate relationships with large brand name companies,” said Nick Masino, Vice President of Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett at the Gwinnett Chamber. “Hyundai Construction Equipment’s relocation of its North and South American headquarters to Gwinnett is completely in alignment with the Partnership Gwinnett Global Business Efforts and adds to the growing foundation of headquarter locations currently doing business and growing in Gwinnett County.”</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">“On behalf of the entire city, I welcome Hyundai Construction Equipment into the city of Norcross,” said Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson. “The expansion of this well respected international company will be an excellent fit for the location and provide access to a talented work force. We look forward to working with the leadership of the company to make them feel at home.” </span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br />
